My wife is visiting Her Son and grand kids in Waterville Maine from june 9th to the 17th and she would like to know which beach or beaches in Maine or New Hampshire would be good for a newbie to hunt?
Also any local hunters or clubs she could contact for advise?

If you were to ask a Mainer wheres a good beach to hunt? Theyd tell you New Hampshire..
Mud

Mud folks from Maine are Maniacs. I know from experience. I was stationed with and ran around with two of them back around 1960. Oh the fun we had.

Well I live in southern Maine in York...and Waterville is a ways up there. Around her area is more lakes than beaches as the coast of Maine up that way gets real rocky.

If she gets down towards Portland than OOB (Old Orchard Beach) in Saco is decent. Moody beach in Ogunquit. A lot of people hunt Long Sands in York. In NH well only Hampton Beach.

As for alkes well there are a ton of them...so pick one. If it is a state or federal park ask first...but many are city owned and usually not a problem.

Thank you azsh07, that is all very helpful info. My plan is to get her directed to a decent place to hunt so she is not frustrated scouting unknown territory. Hopefully that way she will by ready to go with me when she returns!!
