Need Help for Camera Choice

Trying to decide between thee two cameras:

Nikon Coolpix S4
Canon Powershot S2IS S2

Does anyone know if the Nikon Coolpix S4 will take filters? I lean towards the Nikon because of past experience with Nikon film cameras which I was very satisfied with. However, the Canon has stabilization (nice) and can take filters.

Any advice would sure be appreciated as this replacement camera will be used a lot. (1000 pics a week)
