Need help Digging the Clads ....

I could use a little help down here.... :detecting::detecting::detecting:

Not exactly Teva weather but getting there. Another week and maybe 70 degrees.

I hit my church tot park and dug until I ached.. A virgin hunt in 60 degree weather. First the 5.3 eclipse. Every few feet a new treat! The lot was probably around 150 feet by 200 feet square . Passed over most of the penny hits as a lot of the hits were at 7-9" deep. Too much effort for a penny a least for the first pass.

Whipped out big bertha 12" coil and creamated the open areas, Ground looked like a ground hog had a field day, except that I filled in the holes. Oooooh the wood chips !! I must say that 12"er pinpoints a well as my 5.3 really, but sounds like a siren on shallow hits. I need some volume control on those stock head phones. Managed to find 2 - one dollar coins about 3 feet apart, 1964 nickel (worth anything?), a bit of junk bling, I nailed a nice sterling silver ring by the swings just about 2" down waiting for a home !

I slinked out of the park before Sun night church started and before someone would ask me if I am tithing on the proceeds. Much more work to do to properly clean up the little kiddies domain. Saved a little for later. I got permission from church staff to metal detect. Next stop will be the football stands, scoccer field unless the weather gets warmer then it is off to the beach with the rubber boots to use my new water detector. Thanks for looking. Wish me luck, I feel the need for some gold rings. HH Marty

Nice finds! We have about 6-7 inches of snow still on the ground here...was hoping for a couple of warm days (34 degrees+) to melt the snow so I could get out with my old detector while I'm waiting on my MXT Pro, but it looks like we have another round of snow inbound.:(

We have a lot of old churches around here that I plan on hitting when it gets warmer. Thanks for posting your finds to keep me motivated.

I would like to have purchased the MXT Pro; it came out about a month after I bought my MXT 300. Hope you get a freak blast of warm air and all the snow melts. I would trade straight up a warm day for a good old church hunt any day. Marty

Way to go Marty! You're doing great and lots of clad there. The 1964 nickel is a keeper too. It brings you .05 closer to your goal. Sorry to say, it's only worth just that, a nickel. It doesn't matter what type of nickels............I love seeing them come out of the ground. More nickels = more bling. Thanks for posting the pictures and HH, Nancy
