need help (coil cover)

hi guys i put a new coil cover on my edge 8 inch i went to the beach today and i see a little sand i tried to get if off and cant any help would be great thanks Jeff
 
Not sure about how to get the coil cover off.I had one heck of a time getting mine on.Why did they make it so tight?I was scared i would break the coil when i was trying to put mine on.
 
I take a small block of soft pine and gently/slowly work my way around it taping with a hammer. Around it also means the inside ring and openings.

OK thanks guys i never used them before i thought it had to be tight
thats what the dealer said anyway thanks for the help i will just leave it. Hope it not a bad thing Jeff
