need help 1260 x fisher

need to know how many volts the 1260 x fisher runs on going to the control box (someone give me one) there was no battery packs just 2 wires red and black is it 6 volts or 12 volts going to main control box ????? Thanks
 
If you don't get any concrete answer try firing up with 6v then 9v and if it don't work it could be 12v, although i would plug for 9v

The 1260 takes 8 AA batteries, four in each side of the battery box below the armrest.
