Need headphones that aren't big $$$

I am getting back into the hobby and just bought a used SE Pro so now I need all the accessories one of those being headphones. I have used Gray Ghost's in the past and they are great but I would like to find something on the cheaper side this time. What phones are you guys using? Ear buds would even be something I would like to try in hot weather. Just need some ideas.

Where warm weather is a factor and the ambient noise is not , there's not a better value than these. The cord is kind of a pain if you don't corral it with a clip of some kind , but the tones and behind the head fit are great!!

I use these and they are great. But if you want something a bit more light weight and not as hot on your ears. I used these

NOTE: the cord on the second set is a bit short and not coiled so sometimes I inadvertently kneeled on the cord and then when I went to stand would rip the headphones off my head. Eventually the cord gave out and the phones stopped working. So beware of that.

cost me around 50 $ to make for my berkut-5 so don't disregard making a set  get some pleasure out of it also.

NASA Tom uses QZ-99 head phones. around $45 on e-bay

@amberjack,dont think i have ever seen a detectorist wearing 'pink headphones' before

It says that the Garrett has a coiled cord but the last one I bought didn't. They're not good for detecting without the coiled cord. I was really surprised that Garrett made them and Kellyco recomended and sold them.

White's ProStars are decent heaphones. Dual volume controls, nice clear audio responses and a comfortable fit, The only disadvantage is they do not block out wind noise. Impossible to use in open fields when only moderately windy. List for around $120.00 but you can find them cheaper.

Koss QZ99's are my top pick regardless of price The lower Ohm rating is actually a plus for many detectors I use. Just my personal opinion but, quality speakers at lower ohms deserve more attention. Excellent noise blocking in high wind. Single volume control may be a disadvantage for some but, even with my bad hearing faint hits come in clearly. A bit heavier and clunky in design however, can wear them for hours without fatigue.

Calrads are about 20 bucks and are a good pick as they work on any unit and hold up well producing good signals...Last pair used for about 10 years and yep have a new pair in trunk if they ever go down....
