Got a fifty dollar bill for my birthday and need some headphones for the Vaq. For some reason my old headphones that worked on a White do not work on the Tesoro. Is there a good inexpensive set that any of you recommend?

I prefer not to use headphones .Only wear them if its too noisy or if nosey people are following me.

I never used them, but some people swear by Calrad Stereo Headphones. You can get a used set for around $25 shipped on Feebay.

For light weight headphones for Summertime use, I use KOSS KTXPro1 Headphones. They cost around $20 bucks shippied.

Pardon my ignorance, but I also wear headphones only when its noisy. In the summer it is too hot. Also, I usually use earbuds--why do people like expensive full earphones? Maybe I am not attune to the differences.

I dont like to don headphones because I want to hear what is going on around me. Also i think I had them too loud one day and permanently damaged my hearing because of it.

I have been using whatever earbuds I have a round that I use for my MP3 player. I do not have them with me, but they are less than $10.

My detector (Vaquero) did not come with headphones. I just use whatever I have handy and that are not too hot.

I wear full headphones to keep my detector from drawing attention to myself I tried earbuds and they just irritate my ears and it also hurts to have them yanked out of your ears by tree limbs. That's the reason why I wear full headphones. Now if I'm out in the middle of a fifty acre field and it's warm I don't use any headphones just the detectors speaker I know I'm not going to disturb anyone around. And it's easier to hear rattlesnakes or the yellow jackets nest you just stepped on!!

That makes since CW. My set is the only pair I have ever used. I did not enjoy wearing them and they caused tinnitus I believe. Maybe I need too look into something smaller and quieter.

I use a set Detector Pro Jolly Rogers they are quite comfortable I have also used CalRads and Treasure Wise and they perform quite well to!!

i use calrads too had an old set of expensive Dynamarks that fell apart and got tired of fixing them. in the park i use Koss lightweights with an amp. dig deeper! in the woods-quiet-nothing. noise nearby i use the full size due to durability. my Buddies Rattlers are NICE!

I tried that cw(sc) you have got a point there that is weird I wonder why it does that?

While I was in Alaska last week, I had to buy a pair of headphones that switched to mono and Stereo. I had 0 problems with them.

Thats odd. That did not happen with me. however, I was hunting for gold nuggets and not coins.

Why do you want to cut them all the way down , that's why you have the headphones, 23 years never had a problem with headphones!?

Yea I asked ya ! That's got me puzzled you and your headphones is all I've been hearing, if it's to loud the put cotton swabs in, geeze keys get off the dang headphones, you gotta to toughen up!!!!!

If its to loud maybe stuff the earphones so its better for ya,I had my ears blasted by 155mm rounds so I never had a problem being to loud, but try that and see if that helps , not being a butt just trying to find the problem with your headphones.HH hank
