I had a fiberglass/wood pole that broke in the surf scooping wet sand. I think I need a metal pole but something light is preferred and stronger is a must. I also thought about a handle to affix low on the pole but would rather just get a metal pole. Those stavr scoops are big and hold a lot of heavy sand...
