Need Garrett help and info

Hello, I have another brand of metal detector. I was wondering about "Garrett GTI 2500 Metal Detector". Can this detector help you dig less aluminum pull tabs ? I heard that the imaging feature will show over size cans and stuff like that. I have been working in parks, and have just about give up on digging anything with a vdi number of less 70. I know more then likely I will just walk pass a gold ring or two. I have found a few, but ended up digging pounds of pull tabs. So does this metal detector feature help you not dig pull tabs and still find gold rings ? If not what model has a feature that will help you not dig 100s of pull tabs ? I know the weight of this model is a load, but with a swinging thing it could be lightened up. Any info would be most welcome. Jim

If you find a detector like that, let me know!! No detector out there will separate gold from the dreaded pulltabs or the myriad of other trash targets that fall into the same conductivity as gold rings. It's due to the content of other metals in gold rings that make them jump all over the scale. It's a fact of detecting life, you want gold, you dig it all!! That being said, the locations you hunt will increase or decrease your chances of finding gold. Look around for public swimming pools and try to gain permission for entry if they have grassy areas inside or outside. Look for swim areas at lakes, rivers or streams. Soccer fields and other sports fields present good possibilities.

You gotta dig them pull tabs or you will miss gold. A lot of gold rings fall in the same area as foil, pull tabs and nickels. Your naturally going to dig more pull tabs than rings because there are probably 10,000 pull tabs to every lost piece of jewelry. Simply because people just throw them down. (litter bugs)

The imaging on the 2500 is a great feature but does not prevent you from digging pull tabs. Gotta Dig Em ! Gold can fall into the area from foil to pennies.

I guess the only one that would would be OKM eXp 5000.

Well anyway do you end up digging less pull tabs with a Garrett ? I have to save up a few more pennies before I can get a OKM eXp 5000. But that sure would be nice. I see kellyco has one for $57k . Sure would be nice. Jim

No detector has that technology to separate gold targets from pull tabs. If someone tells you different....start running.

OKM spend a lot of money on full page ads, and sci fi quality YouTube ads. But, they cost a fortune, and they also carry a complete line of LRLs which are a huge scam. Don't waste your time or your dime.

If anyone had a detector that would do that they would control the market and everyone would own one. It's just a fact of detecting life - you have to dig the junk to get the gold because gold unfortunately falls into the same conductivity range as many junk items.
