Need feed back on 5.75" coil on Compadre:please:

Does anyone have any feedback using the 5.75" coil on a Tesoro Compadre.Thank you cjm:help:

I've owned all 3 types of Compadre's. Liked them all but I wanted the earliest version with the white 7" coil and round speaker hole which I now have. The 5.75 is ok if you are not in a hurry. I prefer the 7 & 8" myself.

Mine has a 9x8 concentric coil wired in. I think the 7 inch would be about a perfect size for most use. Have not had a Compadre with the 5.75 coil, but have used a 5.75 inch coil with a Cibola and Tejon. In trashy areas it is a terrific coil. I'm sure it would work very well with the Compadre. Used to be a couple of people who posted many years ago who found a lot of small gold jewelry with a Compadre and the 5.75 inch coil.

I have both the 8" and 5.75" compadre. To be honest I use them for different things
Both are used for their simplicity.
I use the 8" more for general use but the 5.75 for more littered areas. It really separates well compared to the 8.
Don't get me wrong the 8 separates really well but like all my detectors the 5.75 really lasers in on the targets and separates incredibly.
Unless it's modded the Tesoro only came in 3 flavors which was the 7" white coil, the 5.75 and the 8 hardwired

My Compadre was wired with the 5.75. I used it for hunting trashy park areas, and it was a lot of fun. So when the Mojave came out with the 7" and the ability to switch coils, well it was trade in time. For my hunting, the Mojave was a improvement, of course Tesoro collapsed before I got another coil for it.
Never had any issues with either machine.
