Need economical phones for bandido ll uMax

Hey gang! I haven't posted in a long long time. After watching a few episode of Diggers that darn "bug" flared up again and caused me to yank the old Bandido out from the hall closet.
I headed off to a local park to see if I still knew how to use it. After a few minutes it all came back to me and before I knew it I was ...basically just swinging the coil back and forth. Man this park is really clean or I don't know what I'm doing I thought. ( Actually there were signs of a previous hunt. ) After about a hours worth of hunting and relearning the sun was setting and the skeeters were starting to attack me I decided to hit the road. I ended up finding two quarters, a dime and a "super" old rusty pot pipe that the previous hunter missed. The pipe I sent to my cousin Rudy , who lives in Denver.
Shoot! Plum forgot about my reason for posting in the first place. My headphones are shot. I got about four ziplock stripes holding it all together and my wife says I just look ridicules wearing them. Thinking I don't want to invest in a expensive set like killer bees just for my little Bandido , I was wondering what some of you guys would consider a decent pair of phones for it . Soon it will be sizzling again so I was also considering something light too. Volume control is a must too.
Looking forward to the Tesoro forum again and hoping to post a nice gold ring....again.

I bought a pair of $25 Garrett Easy Stow phones for backup and find I use them as much as my Gray Ghosts. I really like them, especially during the heat of summer when the Gray Ghosts tend to bake my ears. The sound quality of the Garretts is surprisingly good for an inexpensive set of headphones.

Try ear buds. Light, comfortable, all the detector sound without sealing off the outside world completely.
I will never go back to headphones.

Tried two phones from radio shack . First pair were padded but didn't have a volume control. OUCH.
Returned them and picked up some buds with volume control but I couldn't get the volume to work.
Screw it!

I use these in the Summertime: Koss KTXPRO1 Titanium Portable Headphones with Volume Control. A Google search will put in contract as to where to purchase them.

They're around $18 and the cord is long enough so it can come out near the armrest so it will be out of the way. Just attach the cable to the rod with Velcro ties or tape.

They work great for me.

The Garrett Easy Stows do indeed have volume control.

That is one thing about Tesoro. Its unfortunate that they don't have built in volume control. Its a money thing, I know.

Treasure wise headphones are good ones also that don't cost to much.

StarLite headphones by White's. $25 with volume control.(small and light work great in the heat of the summer)

Thanks for all your input guys. Decided to go with the Garret's . Now go to my coil post cuz I decided I need a third coil!
