Went detecting downstate this past weekend with my brother, we hit downtown wayne michigan on michigan avenue, they have downtown wayne streets all torn to shreds....We got plenty of cool relics My brother even got a civil war union button. But we only managed 2 coins.

My brother got a 1852 canadian bank token, man that was in great shape.

Here's the one i found, I need help, it has a bullet hole in it. I can only make out the words *RGIUS* on one side, and *EX* on the other. I compared it to a canadian large cent and the large cents have the *sergius* on em but nothing with a *ex* in them. ANY IDEAS? I know it's a foreign coin though.

My buddy found two coins in CT before the snow fell this weekend. He was hunting in a patch of woods we have hit 50X (I was hunting the other side of the knoll the day before)Anyway both coins seemed to be British coppers from his description, but one had the head facing right and the other left. Guess I know what they are now. Wish I had stayed an extra day and might have found one myself. I hope to go down in a few weeks.

The day Donnie got the CT copper in Dec. I got an 1800 Large Cent  I thought it was 1806 but looked closer and saw 2 00's. No, not yet buddy. At least as far as seeing a date. I got 2-3 old type no dates, but they don't count in my book. My oldest is the 1790 or 93 East India House token I got up in Berne, but not a coin. Oh wait yeah I got the 1775 Reale 2 years ago. Man can't believe I almost forgot  I'll hit a 1700's old copper soon. :) (wishful thinkin)The place Donnie and I found is impressing us as he got 3 oldies since January.
