Need button help!

I just started metal detecting a couple of months ago. I found this button today and was wondering how old it may be. I'm assuming its some sort of military button. The back reads "The Austin Co." on the top of the back of the button and "Providence" on the bottom. I've seen several pics of the same button but no info to go along with it. Thanks.

Only thing is I can't find anything on the The Austin Company. That first link you posted sanddigger I looked at yesterday and that company isn't listed. I found on another MD site where a guy found the same button by the same company and he was wanting info on The Austin Company also. He didn't get any replies tho. Still kinda cool tho. Thanks!
