Need Advise On Detector Decision

 Hey Guys, I've been gone for a while :detecting: but now I'm back and could appreciate some help in making a purchasing decision. I'm the kind of detectorist who likes to have the same coil collection to use on all my detectors. I have an IDX Pro with 950 and 5.3 bullseye coils. I also have a DFX with 950 and shooter coils. Here is where I can't decide what to do.:rage: Should I keep the IDX and sell the DFX and get an XLT or should I keep the DFX and sell the IDX and get an M6? What would you do? Confusing isn't it? I would like to keep the IDX and get an XLT but my gut feeling tells me that Whites will someday discontinue the XLT like the have done with the IDX. :ranting: I am trying to scale down a bit so that I won't have so many extra coils to tote around. It would be nice if detector companies would stick to ONE frequency so we won't have this coil problem. I know this sounds nuts :wacko:but it's important to me. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks for your time and hope you guys find the big one this summer!!! :jump: HH from RDF:cool::detecting::whites:

I'd keep the DFX and add an M6 or MXT. With the new V3 in the line as well, the coil compatibility covers 4 different detectors and should be around for a long time. JMHO

Sell the IDX and DFX. Purchase an MXT and work like heck to find enough stuff to get a V3. Minelab is fine but the V3 is the funnest detector to learn ever.
