Need advice....

I'm going to Kauai next month. I am trying to decide which detector to buy: Excalibur, Surf PI, Tiger Shark, or Beachunter ID. I am fairly experienced with a Sov XS on land, so I am leaning toward the Excalibur, except for the price. I know that the salt is going to be a problem, and I understand the PI technology gets good depth, but you dig a lot of trash. Any advice is appreciated, as well as tips on hunting in Hiwaii. Thanks in advance.....

I own the PI PRO and the Excal and in the water I go with my PI and on the wet sand I hunt with the Excal... You're going to get less trash in the water than the wet sand so its really up to you and your preferences...

Thanks. That is just what I need to know. I don't have a detector for working wet sand, or surf. I won't do any diving for several reasons, but I wouldn't mind some surf hunting with a water proof unit. Thanks, again.

I'll check 'em out. I have never used a Fisher, but I know many who swear by them. Thanks for the suggestion.
