I have a excal2 and I'm looking to add a beach/water machine for Florida beaches it seems that there's only 2 choices white or garret any help is appreciated thanks

What makes you think the Excal 2 would not work on Florida beaches ? The Excal is one of the best units for any beach.

If you already have an Excal 2, why would you even need anything else?

:shrug:you have a Excal you are ready to go !
know if you want to add a 2ND detector to your arsenal OK i see that.. may be a PI then you will have the best of two worlds

Add another Excal! If something goes haywire you will still be able to hunt!

Best regards,
Steve

I will offer a few words which are from my limited experience. This is my first not even full year, January will be. I originally purchased a Whites Beach machine and a Df machine. I hunted for half a year with both and were not satisified with them. The Beach Hunter while deep had a very poor descrimination for me in tones and I was digging everything. I purchased the DF and it had NO descrimination and you dug even deeper targets with it. I went to Keelyco and had my eyes on a Excal or CZ and could not make my mind. I ended up with both and while they are both good machines I personally like the CZ a little better.. I have found that the CZ is more positive in target identification in most instances and it is easier for me to tell the targets from the tone. With that said the Excal is a killer on nickels and pull tabs but does not appear to be as deep. Before everyone jumps,on me this is what I have found. Now the Excal in the water is much quieter than the CZ but once again the CZ appear to be deeper. They both are great machines and you cannot go wrong with either one of them. I have just had better luck with targets with the cz and quality targets. Two that appraised for $12,000.00 each. Do I miss the DF yes on sandy periods It is deeper and you will find items when neither of the other two will pick up on them.
In all honesty the Beach Hunter when tuned properly is deeper than both but hard to hunt with for my hearing. and in the area I hunt.
This is not an endorsement on either machine other than what I have foud while using.
While I hunt with both and since I am partail to the CZ probabky use it a little more but there is a reason. Since I have ourchased these two the CZ has produced golds very often and the Excal as of this date has not. This is probably a co incidence but the CZ appear to be a gold magnet. When the decision to hunt which machine is made I cannot discard how lucky the CZ is for good items.
SInce the water is rough and sanded in I have been hunting mostly dry and wet sand I have noticed I am picking up a lot of dimes and deep nickels with both machines. I have been pulling a lot of pull tabs which means those hunting before me either thro them back out or never dig them. I will assume the later and I have found some nice rings lately.
I hope I have not confused you but though i would let you know what I have found works for me.

Don't forget on any one day one machine could be deeper than the other and the two machines are not a bad idea. If you can figure out why you will be a rich man I am sure.

I hear you about some being luckier than others. I am in the same boat as you...I just like the CZ a little better. But that is me.

I still think the OP has one of the best beach units in his/her hands, so I hope he/she uses it on the Florida beaches and does not think about getting something different.

Use that Excal 2 !!

I know the machines are both good ones just the CZ is a gold machine and the other has me wondering if I am not walking over some. I know better because of the nickels and pull tabs I am digging. It will produce for me. It is funny while it was new a friend Excal broke and he used it while hunting with me and the first day he found a gold ring. Lucky just not for me --YET!!. I will uase it and will eventually find some.
