I could use some advice on buying a digital camera. I want something for close-ups of objects such as coins. I'd like to go as economical as I can without compromising resolution too much. IOW, sharp close coin detail pictures, but maybe not National Geographic quality. Also, I'd like it to not be a pain to interface the pics into my computer. Floppy camera would be fine.
If anyone can steer me to the features I need, or maybe even some models, I'd be much obliged. Also an idea of price.
Thanks alot,
Bark

What you need is the Sony FD-75. It takes floppy discs and has the best macro ability for closeups than any camera I've tried. It also has 10X zoom and takes excellent pictures. They run between $350-$400. I've got one barely used and like new in original box that I'd sell for $250 if your interested.

I agree with Crazyman....The Mavica Sony Fd75 is a pretty cool camera and has one of the best macro features of any camera arond. The Floppy disc feature is real user friendly. For what you are looking for I would recommend it. The 10X Zoom is nice. You should be pretty pleased with it for the type of use you mention. The Mav has a lot of other nice features, too! And for the $250.00 that Mike is asking, it is a steal!
N/T for RM.. <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
