Hi, i have been detecting on and off for about 3 years now but have yet to find anything, I often go on my mates field which was said to be in the grounds of a roman castle yet it has not produced. I have also tried beaches but have fund nothing of value. I currently own the tesoro stingray, but i find it hard to discrimnate against iron. May this be the main reason? If so what machines do you reccomend? Please give any other advise. Many thanks
 
If you get the T2 you want to hear the iron so you find the masked targets. It is a fast machine overlooked by the relic forum but the guys that have it have found a lot of targets that have been missed by others. It ai a powerful machine and misunderstood. But there are a afew post on the T2 from your neck of the woods that find this machine to be one of the best at finding relics.
 
a CZ 5 or 3D is a no fuss Deep machine & iron gives a deep tone good targets give a hi pich tone pinpoint is right on the mark my friend use a tejon & im always haveing to pinpoint for hem
