NEED ADVICE ON RED CLAY SETTINGS

Hi All, I live in central new jersey with red clay soil. Had my Quattro for about 3 weeks now and it works great in regular soil, but the red clay soil has me digging false signals like crazy!
Does anyone have any advice on settings that I can try? I have read ANDY'S book, but that has'nt helped a whole lot. I even have my backyard test bed in red clay soil to try to learn from it, but it's not working well. Any advice will be appreciated.
