Need advice from the water hunting vets.

I have a Atpro and tiger shark and will be hunting fresh water beach areas ones with the perimeter that is roped off, the question is which part of the swimming areas usually has the best chance for jewelry, sorry if it seems elementary question but I never hunted in the water before , thanks tiger hank68

If there are regular hunters hitting this beach there should be almost no targets in the roped off area. Hunt in all metal and go slow dig everything and you will find targets. If your adventurous you can try outside the bouys the swim area may hve moved. Moms with small kids sometinmes play right along the shore outside the bouys beacuse theres less traffic for the small kids. The kids don't have anything to loose but the moms have rings!

Hank, inland lakes or great lakes? Actually ANYWHERE. People swam EVERYWHERE before air conditioners. I hit as much of the shoreline I possibly can. Sometimes I hunt fast till I start finding targets and sometimes I just go slow and go an hour without a beep. You NEVER know where a old public beach or an old church camp was and it could actually be someones back yard now. I have found gold rings on dropoffs and no other targets around. I found an old camp or something that is now behind a house BUT after 8 gold rings and numerous silver coins and religous medals something besides a house was there thats for sure.

If you want new jewlery its in the roped off areas, BUT I like the old things also. A beach I discovered last year which is now noplace anybody swims gave me 4 gold rings and 34 pieces of silver. This beach I have been hitting recently is an accociation park and the house to the right of the park gave me permission to play in the lake, which means I can go ANYWHERE. There are a TON of long lost beaches, never to see a swimmer again. Those are my absolute favorite places to find. Another one of my favorite places to stumble across are where old swim platforms made of 55 gallon drums were anchored. I have an absolute hayday with those areas. Hope this helps and good luck. OHH and if your in Michigan forget the water. Nothing more to be found here.

Thank you SD and CG for the helpful info I think I'm gonna love water hunting I know of several go and some old old ropes that are still hanging from the tree along the lake that nobody goes anymore but it is in about 15' feet of water and was thinking about getting a hookah system soon to do some shallow diving, best of luck you guys, SD I know you clean a spot out when you hunt so do not come to Alabama! Hey Hank...Just picture those ladies laying on their rafts, just floating around, fingers in the water, rings falling off.....Good luck HH bob.oz

Haha, you and the fisher cz21 do a great job, and no you still can't come down here! Lol ! Fishoover CZ-21?

Thanks Jim , how do you like the TS and do you have any tips into using it?

fresh water lake-most splash battles happen in 3-4 foot deep water, rings should be flying off fingers.... in 5 foot deep water theres alot of girls climbing onto guys backs to jump or dive off--good place to look for ear rings,charms,braclets..... 2 years ago they drew down a very popular lake near me...1st time in 30 some years that the entire swimmimg area was exposed ....most and the best targets i found were in the 4-5 deep area....ironically this area had been hunted by many prior to my arrival but this area still produced for many weeks to come....like ron said hunt slow and dig everything .....some of the gold i found at this place did not give very good signals at all..in fact several i found by eye in the washed out sand gullys caused by mid week heavy rains....i still go back to this lake but dont find much of anything any good anymore...but boy it sure was fun while it was paying out.....

Hunt it all... Dig it all...best of luck to you.... The others gave great advice.

Bob you got a good point, im ready to find the bling!
