hey there would really like your honest opinion on how small of a gold pieces you can find with this and best coils to use been trying to compare to the minelab exterra 705 or 70 would like to see or know how to get the real small stuff or what its capable of!

Go to the trea...sure...net.com forum, the Tesoro Brand, and see the thread: "Got a Lobo S.T. Yesterday"....

It is very sensitive to small pieces; only drawback is depth. Like most VLF detectors, they don't go too deep, especially in the mineralization one typically finds in the gold fields.

hey daveNV thats great what would you say how deep some of those were? and what modes were you using and all that good stuff and how does it do against hot rocks? does the tone change at all or stay the same? you got me going now, that size is not out of my league up here in the river i'm going to try shortly

The deepest one was probably around 4". I always use the automatic ground tracking mode. Hot rocks are a problem. Never figured a way to knock them out; just have to work thru them.
