Need advice about M6

Todd S

New member
Heh all,

I am considering buying the Whites Matrix M6. I'm sick of the beginner level Bounty Hunter Quick Draw after just a few weeks-it seems to be limited to a maximum of about 4 inches of depth and not very accurate in target identification. Can someone give me their thoughts about this?

I used my Bounty Hunter in a test garden and it couldn't detect a dime only 6 inches down. I got signals of coins 4 inches down, but the target identification was poor. It was right on with a quarter at only 2 inches down! I want to find deeper older coins.

Help please

I have the M6 and yes it has the power of the MXT.
You will love the tones for coins and it is a deep detector.
go to www.firstontop.com to check out my tips and tricks.
my deepest coin was 11 inch deep and that was some digging.
Also we would like your old detector to give to kids
We been fixing and giving away detector for years.

I have had the M6 since feb of this year and I really like it.I have found it to be very accurate when locked on a target.I am not sure how deep it will lock on a target but when it hits coin, locked on or not Its a coin 95% of the time only being fooled by bottle caps which great In my opinon for any detector. This machine hits hard on small Items and I think this gives the machine the ability to to find coins on edge as it seems to do for me.If I get a coin reading and Its a weak signal I find a coin on edge alot of times.I lost my wedding band about 3 years ago in the yard doing landscaping and the wife said why don,t you get a detector and see if you can find it so I bought a BH 202 on ebay to see if I could find anything and I bet she wishes she would have never done that now (ha ha).I did find a wheatie and a 1937 nickel,so to make a long story short I wanted to upgrade and bought the M6 thanks to this fourm!!!!.I did find my wedding band on easter sunday about 6 in down on an ifiy signal which taught me you have to dig alot if you want to find alot. Hey clondike clad thanks for the tips and tricks page,Its those things that keep a newbie going instead of cashing in. THANKS TO THE FOURM AND ALL THE DETECTORIST THAT ARE WILLING TO HELP!!! HH BOB

Thanks! I will check out your site for the tips! It sound like the M 6 is a great machine. I just got to save the money for it! I think I will try to return the Quick draw 2!
