Went out again today found the quarters just on the surface the 2 dimes and penny were a pocket spill the other thing is what i need a little help on it was found under a very large cottonwood tree all in 1 spot about 7in. down any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
 
have u tried fitting the pieces together ? ? if so do they fit at all ? ?
 
Sorry but I can't help ya from what i can see in the image , not really sure where to tell u to take it all too, have u tried a jewelry store or an antique store for help ? ?
 
thanks Karl it has a number on a piece of it F73 but ill store it in my misc. coffee can i figure a part off something thanks for taking a look at whatever it is....
 
That is a fredastran, the "guts" if you will of an old hydraulic muffler bearing grease packer. Very rare for sure. Congratulations.

Are you sure it is a muffler bearing packer and not a Johnson Rod alingner?
 
It appears from this ad that muffler bearings now come pre-grease packed.

Furthermore, it appears that modern Johnson rod alignment is unnecessary for they come pre-aligned.
