Go to the advanced mode. Select audio 1 tone, Ferrous sounds, response set at fast, turn your gain to about 7, put your sensitivity to automatic 21, then go to your learn program and discriminate out everything, then go to the edit mode and with the biggest cursor accept everything from the right very top corner all the way across the screen until you get about a 3/4" away from the left top corner of the screen. Now you should have what looks like a big rectangle at the very top extending from the right all the way over about 3/4" from the top left of the screen. Then go back to the learn screen and accept a nickel with the medium sized cursor and your set to find most of the old coins with minimal trash interference.
