Need a little advice

I'm taking a couple of weeks off before deciding what to do with the rest of my life but staying in town doesn't seem to be working out so well. My former partner and best friend is already in gear to start another business of some sort but after the last couple of months I need a break before my head explodes  and he is laboring under the impression that I'm washing down the last crumb of bread down with tap water. What I need are some ideas on going somewhere that I can do some detecting, don't care if its water hunting or land hunting but just some place that I have a reasonable chance to find something without frozen lakes or ground. Thanks in advance for your suggestions

Sounds to me you should take 3-4 weeks and follow the general area that Route 66 goes---Lots to see and do on that route--It would give you a chance to do some different hunting including hunting gold in water and desert---I did that many years ago and never forgot how MUCH fun I had---Plus meeting some nice and some Different people

What I'd like to do is fly into a Caribbean island like Antigua, Barbados, etc and stay a week at an all inclusive resort where I could water detect all day, interrupted by an occasional official hardware dealer nap and then do a bit of gambling at night after dinner.

On week 2 you could road trip anywhere you want to go in the USA. Florida and the other southern Gulf Coast states can be "iffy" as to weather ... may be 20 to 80 during the day depending on the state and northern cold fronts. Has been 75 to 80 here ... but for the next few days will be only high 50's to mid 60's.

Also heard Costa Rica offers some nice tourist beaches, fishing and weather and I've heard rates are "reasonable" ... what ever that is.

swing west and drop in on Elson, that should eat up at least a week or so, the weather is gonna be in the fortys here late next week so the weather down south should be perfect.

Have fun Keith and just kick back and enjoy the drive and relax, take it all in as you pass though different states, it will do you a world of good to get away and clear your head. Tell ya what bud, if I were in your shoes right now the Cheve would have a full tank of gas in it and heading down some dusty road with me behind the wheel taking it all in, go for it while you can bud

your on your own for food lodging and tranportation, but I will show you some of my best hunting spots. Can you keep a secret?
