Need a headphone help.

Has anyone changed headphone on the Excal or put the speakers out of old headphones into different headphones? I can't stand the yellow headphones. They fit like crap. I have thought about putting my OLD redheads on my new excal, the problem is, the old excal has a leak and I am not sure where. So I'm not really wanting to put those on new excal in case that's where the leak is. I think I have seen posts before about putting the speakers in safety earprotection type headphones. Does anyone understand my rambling????

Transducers, the Old Reds use the 30mm, the new yellows use the 41mm.you can get them from digikey, or try out a few new hi techs..square, paper thin...and a set of 50mm..all have to be engulfed in RTV silicon..use the peltor 101's or 105's headphones..pic's of the new and the old reds..One think I have discovered..the Plastic that the Old Reds use is a very hard/thin and can affect the tones also..I've used the Mylar speakers from the Koss ur-33's with good results also.....check out the link, kered's n BC's peltor converts..........Good Luck..
