Need a CW relic hunting partner

I was a relic hunter for many years, I stopped 10 years ago and recently (Dec 2009) got back into it. I live in Cincinnati and do most of my hunting in SE Ky and east and north central Tenn. My parents live in SE ky so I know that area very well. I only get to relic hunt down there about one weekend a month but sometimes take little vacations to hunt also. My father used to hunt with me but because of his age is mostly unable to now. My wife detects too, but refuses to hunt in the woods as it "creeps"her out. I really do not like to hunt by myself, so I would like to meet some like minded CW relic hunters. I am not out to steal your sites, nor do I seek someone to steal mine. Do not contact me if you only want to use me to get new hunting spots and detect them behind my back. Unfortunately there are way to many people like this. Greed is a terrible thing. On the other hand if you love history and the thrill of the hunt and would like to detect with someone who does also, then shoot me an email. I am a hardcore researcher and have quite a few leads I would like to investigate. Bill

Hi, It's kind of hard to get to really know someone. Almost impossible online, in my opinion. But here's a little about me. I'm 49. In good health. I can travel as I please, I am a self-employed locksmith. I am the only locksmith in my area approved by the BBB. I am an ethical man. I am not a felon and I am a registered gun owner and hunter/fisherman. I'm not a civil war buff to say but I have done extensive reading on the topic. I have read many books on the battle of Gettysburg, I am just drawn there for some reason and have visited there many times. I have only been detecting for two years with a Tesoro tejon and am just getting "good" with it. I have never hunted a CW site. I hunt for the pleasure. I have sold none of my finds and don't intend to. Half the fun of detecting is looking at them and remembering the thrill of the moment. I live near Binghamton, New York. Relic hunting a real CW site would be like a "dream vacation" to me. Holler back if you feel inclined. Thanks for reading my reply.
