Nedd Help With Mystery Coin

mysterycoin145.jpg

Been awfully dry here lately and havent went detecting much in the last week. I got out today in one of the oldest parts of town and found some neat items. I dug the above coin at 9 inches down and am not sure what it is due to the wear on it. The coin is the size of a half dollar and is silver. You can clearly see an image standing on the front of the coin but dont have much more detail than that. I tryed posting a bigger picture but it always says the image is to large. This coin also has a ridge that is like a half dollar any help would be appreciated. This is not a walking liberty half it has two arms showing one up and one down. I will post pics of my other finds later.

Most definitely needs to be a bigger picture. If you want to send me the file, I'll post it for you. My email is posted in my profile. Interesting find for sure. HH, Nancy

Seems to look like a Walking Liberty to me, she has one arm straight out to her right and the other is hidden behind a robe that looks like her left arm straight down. The arm on yours that is out-stretched has the same bend in the elbow and same height. I can see the foot she is standing on is fairly pronouced and the raised flat area for the date is there. I'm pretty sure the 'sun' even shows on yours. A better image would help. I enlarged your image but it is incredibly undetailed.

Here is another better photo of the coin!!! Thanks for your help Nancy!

The image seems to resemble a current French coin. Walking female image with arms extended front and to the back which your coin lacks. Also no image
of the sun rising on the French coin, which yours doesn't have, Maybe their "Liberte" image is traditional and goes way back in years????
