Hunted a tot lot today with the AT Pro and had a target register as a copper penny, search a little with my pin pointer and the result was a 1911 wheat penny.The penny is very worn but looked like a fresh drop. Who would of thought you could find a 100 year old coin in a tot lot.
I have found several wheat pennies in tot lots before 1940's-1950's but never any earlier than those. Most of the tot lots I hunt were built fairly recently.

Your Wheat cent is just the beginning Texcam, you will want to dig all targets that are not iron in tot lots and gold ring finds in tot lots are second only to beaches IMHO.........
