Hello , about a year ago y found this button, i thought i lost it, it was in my pocket, jeje, is this a navy button and If it is how old is it? I looked in google found a lot but not this one
 
Looks like you have a mid-1800's 1-piece Navy. Hopefully there is a readable backmark. There were two makers of this button.
1. "B & Coe/Extra" This one the rarer of the two.
2."Lewis and Tomes"

i only found 1 button but have found many buttons from the co. that made them 4 the civel war
flat buttons but nice to see your up on buttons
if i rember i will ost some of them

top 3 are from the co. that made button 4 the solders jackets from civil war
bottom 1 know idea but cool!!!!!!!!!
 
Awesome finds! The North was rich and so had better uniforms. The South was not so they used either the uniforms they already had before the split or used their regular clothes which would have different types of flat buttons. I am out on a job location this week but will check them out before the weekend.
