NAVY Button (HOW OLD?)

JV

New member
I found this button at an old park. Any idea the age?
I am guessing it isn't that old. I am trying to determine if I need to go back to this particular park.

Howdy JV--

I don't see a match for your button in the Navy section of Albert's Button Book. If you can read a back mark, that could be helpful in determining its age. It's a good find. Best of luck and...

I think what you have is an old blazer button, not a mitilary button. I have found gobs of those.
If you go to my proflie and click on the Find Latest Started Threads then look through my threads you would be bound to find several of those posted. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/67750-i-won-metal-det-contest-bragging-rights-1-gold-1945-slhd.html

I have to agree, this is a blazer button, I assume its a tin back. Next button though could be that awesome original one!!!!

Here you go, some of the ones that made it into my button cub-by, I have many more in the my 5 gallon buckets of stuff and junk that I never bothered with. Anyway from these pics you might get an idea on how to for the most part tell quility buttons from junk buttons.
