National Geographic partners with California Fish and Game

I just watched a program on the Nat Geo channel that focused on the tough job of being a California game warden. First, it showed a segment of the fish cops busting a rather large marijuana grow operation. The next segment depicted a warden sneaking up on a gold dredger in the S. Yuba River. Obviously, there was no distinction between dope runners and gold dredgers. It was ridiculous. They showed trash in the river, dead and dying fish at the edge of the river, disturbed gravel in the river bed..oh my! It was total BS!, and what's sad is the general population will see this propaganda, and believe that miners are destroying fish habitat and should be locked up. What a world we live in...please join the PLP (People for Public Lands) so we can have access to the courts collectively to put a stop to overzealous, dishonest environmentalists, and activist prosecutors and judges. The PLP can become to mining what the NRA is to gun control if enough of us will join the fight.

Its all marketing...agenda marketing that is...no win...take it from a guy who was on the losing end of the anti-trapping push back in the 70's...best you can do is to quickly jack up a website to profit off of their limitless finances/media control and try to siphon money off of their donor base as if you are on their side...that way, you get a free pass as some dopey "environmentalist" to go whereever you want to "monitor" and "sample" and "protect" a certain area of watershed...?
imagine the possibilities!

The general population and courts are not now, or never will be your (our) friend...and fighting this kind of crapola takes too much out of a guy...back when I was younger, I thought common sense and reason would resolve these sorts of weaponized Govt agencies...looking back, there was easy money to be made without getting up early and falling through the ice all the time for a muskrat.

If I was you, I'd figure out some sort of bullcrap non-profit and rock and roll the easy gold..

I appreciate your wisdom. I guess I'm a dreamer. I have seen the power the NRA wields against the gun control lobby, and see no reason why the PLP couldn't grow to the same kind of non-profit status. Look what the marijuana fans have accomplished! I don't see that we have any alternative except to pool our resources and take up the (legal) sword.

I know...Heavens, I know.:sadwalk:..both the NRA and the Marijuana agenda has some serious financial backing..both sides of those agendas are raking in huge money hand over fist......our hobbies/sports are just not "marketable" and that is what its all about...think about it...look, I also homeschooled when it wasnt fashionable, and really under attack by the NEA...so I am used to fighting and dodging...be willing to lose it all if you pick a fight with the wrong folks is all I'm saying....its just that a fellow gets tired after a while when TPTB are aligned against you...best a guy can do is to try to stay off their radar, push when you can and run when you cant...

I appreciate your spirit for a fight though! Thats good!

In the end, try to have a good time in your short stint on this Planet...who knows what tomorrow may bring? The budgets may slash all the fishcops in your area, and then its GAME ON for whatever you want to do! No enforcement,=no law!

This series has been on tv for over 3 seasons, working on 4th. Your watching old shows and old news. You expect the truth hahaha PLOP help hahahahaha-John

When you first responded to my post, I didn't want to fuss with you. I tried to pass your sarcastic and cynical attitude off as wisdom in order to keep the peace. Now I see that you absolutely think I'm stupid. Perhaps you are right, since I find myself responding to your posts. I only recently subscribed to the NAT GEO channel, so naturally, I'm not as current on their programming as you apparently are. Since you don't mind shining the light of intelligence onto my shortcomings, I hope you don't mind if I reciprocate.

When using pronouns, there are different ways to spell them that makes them appropriate for a particular use. In your criticism of me, you said "Your watching old shows and old news." I understood what you meant, but it also told me that your intent here is to make me appear stupid to others who may be reading this exchange, all the while making you seem like the all knowing Oz. What you should have written is "You're" watching old shows and old news. Perhaps they are old to you, but since I only recently subscribed to Nat Geo, it is new to me. If for some reason we have occasion to communicate with one another in the future, please use current practices in proper sentence construction and grammar. It will increase your credibility with the audience, and these rules of grammar have been around much longer than the National Geographic Channel.

There now, you are "current" on the proper use of personal pronouns. Don't you feel smarter already? :clapping:
