been on the generator since late last night. This morning i watched a couple 200 ft Fir trees go down on my neighbors property as swirling wind gusts of 60+ mph twisted their roots out.
Storm is backing off a bit now but i need to go for fuel for the generator soon. Thousands of people without electricity here on the Island today and last night.
Now i always start the generator and run it for a few minutes every few weeks to keep it prepped. Odd how the only time it is hard to start is at 1:30 AM during a storm
Changed a spark plug this AM, in the dark of course, with a flashlight between my teeth (don't go there) and invented some new words for generators made offshore somewhere in China. It has run good for a few years but eats spark plugs. Ya i know i should have a Coleman or sumpthin but can't afford one with enough wattage. Mine is only 2500 but we get by.
One of the neighbors big trees missed my clucker hotel by about 30 ft and the hens are still too scared to go outside! Earsplittenboomincrashin!
May not get any eggs tomorrow but perhaps i will get some firewood out of the mess.
