What a wonderful person you are. I just read your story on the :whites::usaflag: on That forum and am so proud of both you and Larry/IL. To think that we have people on this forum that would work so hard to find that dogtag owner. I'm sure that makes an even more profound connection between he and his fathers memories.
I,m sure the reason that the dogtag was in such good shape is that it is made from the best kind of stainless steel made. Tho mine was never put to a test like that, it would stay in that condition for ages. Mine was was made for me while I was a recruit at Parris Island, SC while in :usmc: boot camp (Oct., 1951) and I still have it today.
And to all of you who were one of the Few Good Men, I salute you and all who have served in the U.S. Military. SEMPER FI Marines. floridason Hope everyone has a very Happy and productive 2011. God Bless you all. KC :usaa: Retired. HAPPY HUNTING ALL

I honestly can't see the screen from tears. Bless you Kay C. and all the other wonderful men and women on here and those that served this fine county :usaflag:. :cheekkiss:

Nancy, there ya go making grown men cry,,

I just went and read that ,on the Whites site. I have to say I got a little choked up myself.
I spent a few years in the Army, and I also had 3 family members at Pearl Harbor, on that dreadful day. My Great Grandmother was there, and two of her sons, my Great Uncles. The Uncles were Air Force, one of which was a pilot. (They survived, and I heard stories from the pilot)
Sometimes I think we lose sight of the terrible things they went through, and the horrible sights they saw.
But we need to remember them , and the days of theyre lives.

So, I am deeply Patriotic, and the story of you returning that dog tag, makes me all choked up , even now, as I type.

I just want to give my Blessings to Nancy too.!
I feel the need to thank you, for caring enough , to put your time and effort into finding the family. That was so awesome!
For that" I Salute You"

Nancy, you are too cool ! Seriously.

Happy New Year to You, Larry, and your Families!
(Dogs included of course)

Dusty, Thank you for your kind heartfelt words. Believe me, it was my honor to return such an item. HH, Nancy

Harold, Thank you, but I feel any person would have done the right thing and tried to find the rightful owner. I'm just glad I didn't listen to Larry and think it was a fake. :poke: Oh, did I say that? HH, Nancy

Ha Ha Nancy you know ever once in awhile us men have to confess that the women are right and we are wrong but it sure hurts to have to do that .

You are lucky Harold, it is a daily ritual in this household........:please:
