Nancy got up today and wanted to know what I got her for Mothers Day. I smiled and said "Nuthin' you ain't MY mother!" So she gave me a little present

... you now have a whole year to find the perfect card for next year.

I was trying out a new type of quick realease chuck for our big drills that we use to drill out holes for plumbing. These are large, heavy. and powerful drills. The new chuck had one flaw, it would appear that it can release the bit at bad moments, like when you are up on a ladder and you have your face and the drill up in a floor joist drilling a 3 5/8" hole. The drill came back and hit me in the eye giving me a nice shiner. I am just glad I didn't loose my eye.

In honor of Mothers everywhere, "Sure, it's all fun and games until someone looses an eye!"

Nancy did jet a kick out of my post, and, well, uh, I didn't get her a Mothers Day card or gift this year. I just might deserve a matching eye on the other side. She is better with her right than her left anyway! The day isn't over yet.

Happy Mothers day again, DC
