Nancy and I got out for a couple hours this morning. My rear is UN KICKED this time. Gold, silver, diamonds!

We had family coming over about noon, so we left early for a town about 30 miles from here we had never hunted. I wanted to hit the High school football field. Upon arrival we notice a sign on the field that read "Football field is off limits, no trespassing, video surveillance 24 hours a day, trespassers will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law!" I think that is kind of like the opposite of "Welcome".

Not wanting to be sent home empty handed, we hunted the practice field that did not have all the threats on it. Nancy even asked some locals if it was ok before we hit it. Obey the law folks.

The locals Nancy talked to said that the place got detected a lot but we could give it a try. We found the usual bunch of clad and modern coins. Nancy dug a 5ct coin from the Netherlands. I was working the field when this gold ring came up at 4 inches. The five diamonds are real, but kinda small. I will take gold and diamonds in any form!

I strolled over to where Nancy was digging to show her the gold ring. She said that it looked like a wedding band and wanted to know if I had hunted around the area where it was found to see if the rest of it was there. She is soo smart. I went back to the site and found this silver ring not 2 feet away from the hole that held the gold. It is marked .925, and is enameled. It is an unusual looking ring.
