Here is a link to a video from a hunt at the large park I have been working. There was a small nail on top of the Barber dime. The signal was a digger from the start but it was throwing a few odd numbers and would sound a little off on some sweeps. You will notice how clear it gets after I find the nail. This was one of those I think was on edge. Notice after the last dig off the side of the hole the pinpointer hits the coin loud and clear floating in the dirt in the bottom of the hole. I would have loved to see how another brand machine would have sounded on this target. It seemed too easy for a super pounded park. I am close to 40 old coins in 2 months and 3 have been seated.
I might mention that I normally hear the signal, switch to open QuickMask, pinpoint & dig. I have been sweeping the targets a lot in the videos so new E-Trac users get a chance to hear a good signal repeated. The majority of these old coins have been deep or on edge so I do take my time locating it with the pinpointer. I scratched a few on edge Indians in the beginning.
Sorry for some of the misspelled words. I have been doing all the videos on my phone. I need to get an IPad to help my big fingers type the words correctly.
