Nail City

Took the Pro to nail city and shot a pic of the typical scoopout...hit that aluminum good luck charm right through the mess...Running pro zero 40 disc iron off as you can imagine...and only a few clicks of sens. Seems a guy can pick good targets in this mess, by only using the center of the coil...that little circle in the center of the coil seems to act like a sniper coil with the low sens...got a few wheats, a nickel, a few dimes and Q's and lots of copper pennys...pulled a lot of good targets out of here over the summer, 4 silver rings and one gold one and lots of clad and a few silver dimes. Amazing how the Pro can mow through a spot like this..I am sure if anybody thought about hunting this area in the past, they gave up due to all the scrap, full of bottlecaps, tabs, melt, wire, shotgun shells, and the nails everywhere, still, the Pro goes right through there if a guy moves really slow. Another day of BIG wind on the Lake, I sure hope it drops off soon, should be good cuts and blowouts.

Very nice Mud, glad to see you outlasting the weather. Hope those cuts are good to you. Artie

Man that sounds like a tuff place to hunt Mud! But you keep at it and I'm sure there's still quite a few great keepers there.

Nice huntin there mud, looks like one of the places on the St. Lawrence I go too. People give up there as it's so full of metal and trash. Them little storms will keep ya busy with the new cuts I'm sure. Cheers.

You sure know how to work that big pond, Mud! I don't envy you being out there in that wind, though!

Alright Mud! Now that's taking the folks here to school :nerd: :clapping:I'm doing the same thing in another - new for me - freshwater site I started to hit a week ago. That small coil rocks in the nasties.

I have nails hit all over the place, but the At/Pro can sure pick a good target out of the trash. Glad you're getting out, Mud. I wanted to go today real bad, but had to help little Mama do some housework and my right shoulder is still swelled up and giving me a fit. HH.
The GTI-2500 is a great detector, but when you have 5-7 targets it just goes nuts and misses a lot of good targets. But, the At/Pro sorts them out just fine.

Good to see you are still swinging Mud. The A T has turned out to be a pretty amazing detector. Put it through its paces over on St Simon Island for a week, beach and turf, and it performed very well. Nice scoop of finds. HH jim tn
