N0 volume on X-70

I have herd of it happening to other headphone connectors. The contacts inside the unit may not be closing enough to make good contact. You might correct the problem by sliding the headphone plug in and out , very quickly, several times. This may help but other than lighly tapping the control box with your knuckle, there is not too much that can be done except for taking the control box appart and that probably would kill the warranty.

well its new and under warranty so why fool with it send it in and get it working other than that is there a reason to hunt WITHOUT headphones

I'm sure you probably checked this...... But the volume level setting for use with headphones is a separate setting than the volume level for use without headphones. You indicate that it works OK without the headphones plugged in. Do you have both settings at 30? HH Randy
