Mystery Ring...

Craig-PI

New member
I played hooky this afternoon and hit a local beach with the PI and worked a trough it had a few good finds in it as well as the ring.. I ran my DFX over the ring and at first the VDI was a -03 then changed to a +08 so its not aluminum and it has a flame inlay all around it, I'm guessing its steel of some sort I weighed it and it is 5 grams...

I have a Stainless and a Titanium about that size, from the pic. compared to the size of the coins next to it. The Stainless is 5.3 grams and the Titanium the same size is only 3.5 grams. So that is why I would guess Stainless.

I recently found a SS ring and it weighs in at 5 gms.

People should be banned from the beach wearing steel rings lol... it looks nice anyway with its flames I'm thinking its a bikers ring or something it was out in the water as I was hunting a trough formed when the wind pushed a good sized mound of sand towards shore...
