Mystery iron metal disk

Any ideas on this iron metal disk? I would dismiss but the 3 rusty areas on the surface make me think it looped or hooked to a strap or belt perhaps at one time. There is no discernible writing on it.

Looks like an electrical box knockout plug for conduit.

It resembles the pan off of an old steel leghold trap. But, most companies marked the size and make on the pan

I was searching alongside a road. Found this masive hit and digging down I see a shiny metal edge and out pps this silver dollar sized metal slug. That's when I looked up and saw the item's origin there on a pole above me. A transformer and box below with several conduits leading up to it. On the side of the box several indented knocout plugs alonging frthe attachment of other conduit feeds...

Thought I had a silver dollar,,, darn....
