Found this last week but only posted in on facebook, I have no idea what it is.........several people on there say it is an ancient Greek coin, possibly someone bought one from ebay or something and lost it?? House was 140 yrs old, and he had his yard all dug up putting in new water lines, it was in the turned up dirt a few inches deep

no idea but that is an awesome hammered coin

mind if I copy the image and try to help ID it

I found a roman coin in a front yard of a 100 + yr old house. It was suggested it was brought back from WWll by a GI while he was over seas. It was in a little better shape. None the less, amazing to hold something so ancient in ones hand .

A very unique find !

so was the one I sent you a match ?

Cool find G4E. I just taught a unit over Egypt during this time period...lol. Wouldn't expect to find one of those over here!!! That's for sure.
