Is it a modern token, or is the date on it when it was made? It's in great condition, nice find

I found one myself a few weeks ago while searching around an old house site..mine is in rough shape and I had to do some research to find out what I had found.
Your's is the only one I have seen found since I started detecting about 7 years ago.
That token is in really nice shape!!! congradulations on a nice find!!!!
