Mystery bayonet? & metal object

Hi
I know first post and already asking watzthis?
I am new to metal detecting and relic hunting
just got the AT PRO for Christmas.
Great forum and lots of info. I looked through
some bayonet books and online but no luck.
I found it about 8" down under an old tree inbetween the roots.

The other thing I have no clue, but it is cool

2nd item maybe lightening rod...
 
The bottom one is definitely off the front end of a cars steering system and the top one could also be part of the steering ,maybe a stabilizing or sway bar.
