We are going on a little vacation the week after Labor Day I'm finally going to take my detector to the beach !!!! Can anyone tell me a spot that would be some good detecting around there I don't mind traveling a little up or down the coast. We live in central Il. and this will be the first time taking my CZ-3D out like this. Any ideas would be helpful! thanks ron

I would stay farther south down around 33rd ave North and the Ocean Forest area. You should be able to find alot of free parking, since they have places to park about every other block.

Detect at the low tide closer towards the water. You might want to Drive to Ocean Drive Beach ( O D Beach is where the Colllege Kids hang out and is very crowded, detect in the evening and you can find a free parking spot next to the pavillion.

These beaches are loaded with sand and maybe with luck this week maybe the hurricane will come up the coast and cause some eroison.

Don't forget closer toward downtown Myrtle Beach, ton's of tourist everyday and LaborDay the High Schools Kids should lose something.
