Can anybody give any info about how Sandy is affecting the myrtle beach area. Any erosion much? I live about four hours away and not sure when would be the best day to go. I got my BHID less than two months and I feel a 48 hour stomach bug comin on.:twodetecting:

Yep, I can see your fever is rising :stretcher:

Not much erosion so far. In fact, most of Garden City seemed sanded in even more, as it was all soft sand at water's edge. I do believe i found every penney that was lost this summer. 5 hours of hunting - 2 quarters, 1 dime, 1 nickel, about 20 pennies, & 1 junk earing. But tomorrow may change..

Thanks for the info. I hope it does change for ya. Keep me posted if you can. I was down there on vacation a month ago and had the same luck.... too much sand!!! It looks like it would be wed night before I could get a chance to get down there. Hoping that if it does erode, it dont fill back in by then. Good luck..

I've studied yesterday from the Outer Banks N.C. all the way South to Charleston,S.C.. Good Luck. I may travel Tuesday morning after a Doctors appointment from Charlotte,N.C. Just waitng on some Eroison Reports.goldnugget The pictures are for the Outer Banks, Hint included

just came from the beach, some high waves but not much erosion yet:twodetecting: //.....................time wilI tell , the rain is supposed to stop tonight , but the wind is supposed to continue for a few days

We are going to Myrtle Beach tomorrow afternoon. Hope to see some erosion. If anyone has any info please post it.
will try to keep you posted with photos.

was there this morning (high tide) not much to see so far, going back at low tide the afternoon...........let you know

There's not much erosion here as the storm missed us. We were supposed to have 10' waves the other day, it it was more like 1-2'. NW wind has been blowing, but that's not the direction I want to see for good cuts.

Outer banks might be good, according to what I saw on tv. I just can't take off work to go there. 30 mph winds for tomorrow here, you might find a good spot.

I was on Huntington beach Saturday during the storm...Picked up nothing but a few coins and a silver earring....No erosion there......Was hoping for a beach banging:)

Today's report...Heavily sanded in. Hunted for 2 hrs & found 1 quarter & 2 pennies. I'm not going again 'till the winds change & we get some erosion.
