It has a strap on the bottom to hold it on. The front still let you touch the controls. It was $29.95. It is worth it to protect it from the enviroment. I also got the 9 x 12 coil. It seems to hit a quarter about 2 1/2 inches more on full sensitivty and 1 1/2 inches more on 6 bars. It still covers and pinpoint the same.I will be giving it spin tommorrow. good hunting ,Joe
