Check the height of your batteries with a ruler compared to your X-terra 50. I might be possible the springs inside the battery compartment were not installed properly. I have to physically push the battery cover down with tension to get my cover closed. Let us know what you find when checking.

hi guys,
ive been having similar problems with my x-50. sometimes it shuts itself off, and sometimes when you get close to it when it is say leaning againnst the wall at home, it will turn on by itself without even touching it. also twice while hunting the sound quit, no tones at all. had to keep turning it off and on to get sound back.

Had to throw that in there. I had a similar problem with my 50 but it turned out to be the headphone jack. Minelab replaced my 50 with a new one, you may have to do the same thing. Their customer service is outstanding. Sounds like you may have a loose battery connection. I'll let you know when the 3khz coil arrives. Thanks, John

few Mex.resturants open, my wife can still roll a good hot tortilla so no Taco Bell for this Marine. My friend Charles has hunted Rosedale and there is alot of clad coins there but you will have to get the free city permit to hunt.

El Cuerno,do you live in Ft.Worth,Tx? We have a Rosedale Ave and it is being widend to six lanes, a lot of construction and also a lot of relics in the ground. Some of our club members have made some pretty good finds there.Just wondering.
