My X-Terra 30 is on borrowed time.

I had a couple of friends drop over to visit today, and brought their new toy with them. They are interested in a mix of detecting and have just bought the 70. I took them through a few of the features of the 70, but they nearly didn't get it back. MAN; that is one sweeet machine. My poor old 30 doesn't have a chance of lasting a long time around me after using the 70. My main regret today, is that I didn't spend long enough with it to show them the ropes. I'm afraid that I'm just going to go out with them each time and show them personally how to use it. This is the first time that I've had a decent go at 70 and just couldn't get over at how well each function worked! a great tight pinpoint, loved the extra notches, enjoyed the 99 (2:geek: tones. I'm going to have to be extra good this year and see if Santa is watching. Sure wish I had the extra cash available now.

I mentioned it before. I think ML did something to the pinpoint mode. I had trouble pinpointing with the 30. But the 50 and 70 was right on. Maybe it's just me?

Mick,
Do whatever it takes to get a 70 now. If you wait until Christmas - Santa himself will never let it go! Look in you garage for something to sell. Mow some yards. Sell extra coils you don't use. Look in the couch and under the car seats. Collect on those old loans to your buddies. I traded my 50 for the 70 and it didn't hurt too bad.

No I don't think that it was you Kenny. I had the same trouble. I've got a couple of detectors that I can flog off. The XS will need a refit before I sell it though. That'll cost a bit. I've also got a few hundred still lying about the place that are detector finds. So Who knows, I might have it before Christmas. I don't normally sell detectors, as I'm a bit of a hoarder and have trouble parting with them. Perhaps more hours on the detector may be the way to go. After all, what better incentive can you have and detect your way to a new detector. I did that with my GTI recently. Fully paid for from my Ace finds.

Get it very soon because The special on the XT 70 runs out on June 30th, 2008.

$300 off for $798, with a Case and Extra Coil for no extra cost.

Mick,
One more thing about pinpointing with the 70. It has been said before and I though I was just hearing things. But when you go into pinpoint and sweep past the target then come back over the target the response is much smaller. Almost like an automatic detune. I can't remember if the 30 did that. I don't think it did?

I think that that's what is different between the 30 and the other 2 units. I was playing around with it the other day and found that you can manually detune it by pressing the pinpoint button twice more while over the target when you are pinpointing. This is only good for shallow targets though.
