Last Friday my wife received her AT Pro back from Garrett. She had used it twice before it spat the dummy. It was posted back to Garrett & has finally returned home. Tommorrow we are going to the place marked "X" on our map to have a shootout out between my X-Terra 705 & her AT Pro. This is the place where my E-Trac picked up the 53 & 2.2 grammers.
She doesn't stand a chance!!!

Well, we arrived @ "X". The temp was in the minuses & the wind was blowing at 25ks - not good for any critter. After an hour, we decided to postphone the hunt & moved into town to try the parks.
We chose 1 small park that had hockey nets in it. We both grabbed our detectors. I grabbed the X-Terra 705 & the wife grabbed her AT Pro. "What do you think you're doing? " she asked. I suggestted that she detect the right half of the park & I'll do the left half. I don't think so was her reply. I'll detect & YOU dig. If you're lucky I might just shout you a Chinese meal for tea. We spent 2 hours detecting for $57.75. By then it was too dark to read anything on the AT PRO screen as it has no backlight. (If we had used the X-Terra 705, we would have probably doubled our cache as you can see what is happening on the screen.
Come-on Garrett, you have a machine that is nearly as good as the X-Terra but it suffers from night blindness:-{ Put a backlight in the next model.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next shoot out - it'll probably be on a full moon so the old girl can see her screen.
